YU YU5050 Processor, RAM and Pricing Revealed by Benchmark Data

The leaks for the upcoming launch event by YU is coming one after the another. The fresh 'leak' has revealed details about the processor, RAM and possible price range for the upcoming YU mobile model YU5050. The leaks come courtesy of the Geekbench Benchmarking score and import data from Test devices.

As seen above (click to enlarge) the upcoming device will have the MSM8994 architecture i.e. Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core processor which is clocked at 1.55 GHz possibly to avoid the overheating issues with 810. It also reveals the details about RAM, YU5050 comes with 4GB of RAM which is quite impressive. The device scored a maximum of 1397 in single-core and 4855 in multi-core test which is a achievement in itself, though it's a test score so we have to wait and see actual performance of the phone.

Given the massive specifications of the device the price will be higher than all the previous YU devices and quite possibly higher than all three Yureka, Yuphoria, and Yureka Plus combined. The data of the imported device for testing gives us a rough idea about the price of YU5050. The latest import data has the price of ₹20,752 so expect the price to be in the range of ₹25,000 which puts it in the direct competition with devices like OnePus 2, and the upcoming Moto X Play. Though given the history of competitive pricing from YU don't be surprised if the device is priced at ₹21,000 approx.

Details about the camera isn't known yet but we expect it ti be atleast 13MP rear with OIS (optical image stabilization and dual LED Flash) and 5MP front with LED Flash.The presence of Snapdragon 810 also confirms 4G LTE capability, QuickCharge, USB OTG which is expected in every flagship. IF YU could provide wireless charging or finger print sensor then it would be a perfect flagship. So fingers crossed for that.
Other than that YU will also launch YU Powerbank with 10000 mAh and 5000 mAh capacity and
YU's partnership with Snapdeal will also be announced on the same day.
