Amazon changes refund policy on Mobile Phones
Amazon India has made a change to it's replacement/refund policy on mobile phones and it will no longer be offering any refunds on the devices purchased on or after 7th February, 2015. The mobile phones sold on Amazon India can only replaced in case the customer receives a defective product. The replacement window has also been decreased to 10 days and the same will be applied on all the Amazon Fulfilled mobile phones sold on the website. The full change reads:
Please Note: All Mobile phones that are fulfilled by Amazon, purchased on or after 7th February 2016, will have a replacement only policy. Mobile phone items that are fulfilled by Amazon will no longer be eligible for refunds. In case you have received a defective or a damaged mobile phone, you will be eligible for a free replacement.The move most probably has came in response to the fraudulent refund claims filed by customers which will no longer be possible starting midnight. The change shouldn't bother genuine customers because a replacement will be provided free of cost from Amazon India in case of defective damage product received. Similar conditions applies to all the seller fulfilled products also.
