YU Yureka successor YU5200 price, specifications and launch date revealed online

YU YU5200 Price and Specifications listed on Zauba and GFXBench

YU seemed to working on another device YU5200 which from the looks of it seems to be YU Yureka /Yureka Plus successor. The device's price and specifications were revealed on import website Zauba confirming that a device is indeed in works. The listing which you can see below details the device as having a 5.2" inch screen with dual sim and 4G connectivity. The import price of YU5200 is ₹9036 before taxes so the it will be priced around ₹11,000 to ₹12,000.

Another look at GFXBench confirms that the device has already been tested or being tested and rest of the specifications is also revealed.

As you can see in the table above most of the device's specifications are revealed and it looks like a solid mid-range device which will directly compete with the likes of Redmi 3, Lenovo K4, LeTv 1S and Moto G 3rd Gen.
It will most likely run on Cyanogen OS 12.1 which is built on Android Lollipop 5.1 so no Marshmallow on YU yet. But it may change when the device is announced.

YU5200 Launch Date

As seen in the listing a total of 200 handsets were imported which means testing is complete or in final phases and these are most likely review units. Going by how YU worked last year, the device should be launched around middle of May. We'll update after the confirmation.

YU5200 initial thoughts

The presence of  Snapdragon 615 will allow QuickCharge for faster charging along with FHD screen and 3GB RAM the device looks like a pretty decent mid-range device. A metal body will make it direct competitor of Redmi 3. If the pricing is done right this will prove to be another winner for YU.
