BlackBerry is Back With BlackBerry DTEK 50 Its Betting on Android again


Just when we thought that, blackberry was on its deathbed, it came back, with the dTeK series, which consisted of an Android-run smartphone known as dTeK 50 launched officially in July this year.

Talking about the technical specifications, the dTeK 50 sports a 5.2-inch full Hd (1920x1080 pixels) display with 424 ppi of pixel density and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor coupled with Adreno 405, 550mHz GPU. It has 3 Gb rAm and 16 Gb of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 2 Tb using a memory card.

On the camera front, it has a 13-megapixel rear camera with auto focus, Phase detection Auto Focus (PdAF) and dual tone Led flash while the front facing camera is of 8 megapixels, also with a flash. It comes with camera features like Hdr, Panorama, burst, Live filters and Wide Selfie mode. It is backed by a 2610 mAh Lithium-ion battery with Quick charge 2.0 which the company claims can last up to 17 hours of talk time and 12.8 days of standby time. It runs on Android 6.0 marshmallow and comes stacked with connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFc, Fm radio and USb 2.0.

The blackberry dTeK 50 comes equipped with several blackberry and Android apps, and will also receive regular security updates. It measures 147x72.5x7.4 mm and weighs 135 grams. It takes care of the user’s security and notifies the user when the privacy is at risk by monitoring the OS and the apps.

The blackberry dTeK 50 comes in black colour and is priced at rs.21,999. Will the combination of blackberry and Android work this time? Time will tell.
