Important Question : What's the price of Yureka?

Answer : The price of Yureka is ₹8,999. In case you've paid extra, it will be refunded by the Amazon.

a) availability related

1. When and where can I get the Yureka Phone?

Ans : Yureka is available exclusively on Amazon India website on pre-registration basis. Next sale is on 22nd January, 2015 at 2 PM, here : Yureka Sales Page.

2. Where can I register for the sale?

Ans : If you were registered for the first sale, you don't need to register again as your previous registration is valid, for new customers here's the registration link : Register for Yureka.

3. I only got  subscription email, am I eligible?

Ans : Yes, as you can see in this post on our FB Page :

Registration and subscription are equal, if you got either one, both or only email from Amazon you are good to go for the sale on 13^th January.

4. I got two emails from Amazon, what does that mean?

Ans : First one is to confirm your subscription and second to confirm your registration. You are eligible for the sale on 22nd January. Good Luck.

5. I missed the registration process, can I participate in the sale?

Ans : No. Sorry. Sale is registration based you can wait for the next sale date of which will be announced later.

6. How many units will be available for sale on 22nd January, 2015?

Ans : On the first sales day 10,000 units were available. But as Rahul Sharma, CEO of YU promised that units will be increased in subsequent sales, so more units are expected on 22nd January. Actual units will be updated later.

7. How long would it take the phone to be delivered?

Ans : It depends on your geographic location. On an average Amazon takes 1-7 working days to deliver products across the country.

8. How do I return a defective product?

Ans : Any YU devices purchased from Amazon.in comes with a 14 days (no questions asked) return 
policy. You can return your product within 14 days of date of delivery for a full credit of the amount you paid.


9. What are the modes of payment? Or, Is COD (cash on delivery) available?

Ans : Yes, as mode of payment is based on Amazon India's policy which includes COD. Other payment options include credit card, debit card, Amazon Gift Cards etc.

10. Is EMI option available?

Ans : Yes EMI is available as per Amazon India's EMI Policy.

1. Are there any official accessories available for the phone? Where can I buy them?

Ans : Till now two official accessories are available for the phone.

2. Does any insurance company covers Yureka for Accidental Damage?

1. What is screen size and pixel density?

Ans : Screen size is 5.5" with IPS HD (1280*720) display.
          Pixel density is 267 ppi.

2. Does it have protection glass?

Ans : Yes, it comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and a scratch guard inside the box.

3. Tell me about the processor.

Ans : It has type MSM 8939, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 1.5 GHz Octa-Core 64-bit Processor.

4. Tell me about RAM and how much RAM is available after first boot?

Ans : It has DDR3 2GB RAM.
         After the boot approx 1.3 GB is available.

5. How much is the internal storage? How much is available for use? Is there any separate partition  for the apps?

Ans : ROM or internal storage is 16 GB of which approx 12.5 GB is available for use.

         There is no separate partition for the apps.

6. Does it supports external SD cards? Can I move my apps to SD cards?

Ans : Yes, it supports up to 32 GB SD Card.
          As is the case with CM11 you can't move complete app to SD cards but parts of some specific application can be moved.

7. How many sensors does it have?

Ans : Four.
         G-sensor/Proximity/ Light Sensor/Gyroscope.

8. Does it support USB OTG?

Ans : Yes. it does.

9. What type of SIM Card does it supports?

Ans : It supports micro-SIM in both the slots.

10. Will it support 2G sim?

Ans : Yes. In one slot it will support 4G, 3G or 2G SIM in another it will support 3G or 2G SIM.

11. Does it have notification LED?

Ans : Yes, it does.

12. Tell us about the battery. Is it removable?

Ans : It has 2,500 mAh battery which is said to be optimized according to phone to provide 25% higher performance.
         The battery is removable.

13. What's the weight of the Yureka?

Ans : 155 g. ( Taken from various sources on the internet, no official listings ).

1. Tell us about the camera in Yureka.

Ans :  Sony CMOS sensor EXMOR 13MP Rear Camera with Auto-Focus with Flash  (3120*4208) and f2.2 aperture with 5P Blue lens technology and 75°.
           OV5648 Sensor 5MP Front Camera with Fix-Focused, no Flash   (1944*2592), 4P and 71° 

2. Does it support HD recording?

Ans : Yes, 1080p ( 30 fps ) and 720p ( 60 fps ).

3. Does it supports slow motion recoding?

Ans : Yes, it does up to 60 fps with future updates of 120 fps.

4. What are different photography modes available?

Ans : Panorama, HDR, Landscape, Night Mode, Burst Mode, Slo-Mo

5. What are different filters available?

Ans : Auto, Sketch, Neon, Night mode, Negative, Mono, etc.
         The camera interface allows to you to switch between filters with one swipe.

f) after sales support related

1. What is the warranty on my product?

Ans : Your device comes with a 1 Year manufacturer warranty. Accessories shipped with the product comes with 6 months warranty. Read : YU Warranty Services and YU Warranty Statement.

2. Where would I go to repair my phone?

Ans : Nowhere, the repair person will come to you all you have to do is call the customer care.

3. How do I contact customer care? 

Ans : Yureka Support : 1-8602-122-122. ( It will work after the first sale on 13th January, 2015).

4. Will my phone receive regular updates?

Ans : Yes, it will receive OTA updates regularly for two years.

5. Will it be updated to lollipop Android?

Ans : Yes, in fact it will be the first phone to get CM12 which is based on lollipop.

6. Will rooting the phone or unlocking the boot loader void my warranty?

Ans : NO. YU wants to encourage the developer community to work with them and create an ecosystem which thrives on consumer engagement. Thus, the warranty will remain intact even if the phone is rooted.

Micromax Launches Yureka Phones with Cyanogen OS at ₹ 8999 [updated]

Yureka or Yu the highly anticipated phone India smartphone company Micromax has been announced and it is going to be an Amazon India exclusive.

Update : The device won't be instantly available as it seems to follow the Xiaomi flash sale model where you register for device first and then you can buy it by first come first serve basis on 13th January, 2015. There is no mention of the number of device that will be available but given the price range the phone should be in high demands.
They are also giving a "Genuine Leather Cover" worth ₹999 for free to those who register before 25th December 2014 and manage to buy the phone on 13th January, 2015

Update 2 : Yes, COD will be available, if you manage to buy the phone.

The Yu! phone has been teased for quite long by Micromax and is expected to be a game changer in the medium range smartphones competition currently going in the country. Cyanogen exclusivity deal also lead to the ban of OnePlus One device from the country,

The Yureka has a 5.5-inch, 1280x720 resolution IPS display with Gorilla Glass 3, 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC with 1.5GHz octa-core CPU and Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB RAM, 32GB internal memory with microSD card slot, 13 megapixel Sony IMX135 rear camera with 24fps burst mode and f2.2 aperture, 5 megapixel front camera, 4G LTE connectivity, dual SIM support, 2,500mAh battery and Cyanogen OS 11.
The features and specifications of the phone seems very impressive considering the price range and it puts a very direct competition to likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G yet to be launched and newly launched Lumia 638.

Though believed to be Micromax product Rahul Sharma explained to Indian Express “This is a completely different venture, it is a different company. The only common things are that I am a founder for both companies and that it is a 100 per cent owned subsidiary of Micromax,”

He also added that it will be the first OEM to offer replacement and on-site repair. “Why should someone who has bought the phone online take it to a service centre for repairs?” There will be minimal advertisement and the sell will rely on social media and word of mouth publicity.

If the phone performs according to its specification there is minimal doubt that it will sell like hot cakes. We will just have to wait and  see the phone's performance.

its a simple tool which extract boot.img and it doesn't extract the whole rmdisk.. so u can easily port ColorOS, YunOS etc boot.img

GUIDE: 

1. extract the tool 

2. copy port boot.img

3. open start.bat

4. press 1 to extract

5. keep rmdisk in a new folder

6. extract stock boot.img

7. copy the kernel

8. now join them by pressing 2 

Mainly you have to use port rmdisk and stock kernel...... ENJOY!

Installation of KitKat ROM on Alcatel SPOP - 4030:

You need from CWM or TWRP recovery check out this post.
Download ROM from below and put into your sdcard.

• If you're using CWM follow these steps:

1. Boot into CWM
2. note: Before anyhing make a full backup of your current ROM because everything will be erased (go to backup and resotore then backup ROM)
3. Then Wipe data/cache
4. Select install zip from sd and find ROM zip (Barrilete ROM Dual Edition v1.2.zip)
5. Wait zip to be installed on your device.
6. That's it all just reboot system now and enjoy of ROM

If you're with TWRP recovery follow steps below:

1. Boot into TWRP
2. Go to "WIPE" button and select factory reset
3. Go back and select "INSTALL" button find ROM zip and install
4. Wait some time for installation!
5. You can reboot now!

note: first boot can take some time don't worry it's normal just be patient!

HOW TO INSTALL:

You need to had from Recovery like ClockWorkMod or other custom Recovery check out this post for CWM on Alcatel SPOP.

After flashing CWM recovery on your Alcatel SPOP proceed to installation of ROM.

Before anything to be changed due to installing custom ROM we recommended to make backup of your ROM from CWM recovery.

1. Download Barrilete ROM from link - here and put into root of your SD.
2. Boot into CWM recovery.
3. Removing old data:
   - Wipe data/cache from menu.
   - Wipe dalvik cache from advanced.
4. Flashing ROM into /system & /custpack partitions:- Install zip from sd then select / Barrilete ROM v2.0.zip /.
5. Now you can reboot your device!

note: Please be patient, until device booted it's normal because Android building data files approximately over 2-3min!
